Ms. Vasanthi Shetty
CEO of the Arun Muchhala Group
Ms. Vasanthi Shetty has been associated with the Arun Muchhala Group for more than 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University in Juhu, Mumbai. Ms. Shetty joined the Arun Muchhala Group as a receptionist. Mr. Arun Muchhala identified Ms. Shetty’s potential and moved her to a role in the Finance team. Since then, there has been looking back. For the past 15 years, she has done an exceptional job in heading all administration and finance - related activities.
A self-confessed workaholic, Ms.Shetty’s mantras for success are self-motivation and facing challenges head - on. Always on the lookout for new opportunities and learning experiences, she has spearheaded many projects at the Arun Muchhala Group. Suraj Water Park, along with many educational institutes, have been successfully administered through Ms. Shetty’s guidance and expertise.
Ms. Shetty attributes her success to the constant encouragement and support provided by the leaders at the Arun Muchhala Group. Her ability to take independent decisions, a strong belief in her strategies and a positive working atmosphere are some of the reasons for Ms. Shetty’s continuous growth in the group. She remains an inspiration for many who started from humble beginnings and went on to hold bigger responsibilities. Being an avid reader, Ms. Shetty loves reading books across genres as a hobby.
Mr. Ankit Hirani
Business Development Head of the group
Mr. Ankit Hirani heads the Business Development function at the Arun Muchhala Group. A graduate in Business Management from the University of Nottingham (U.K.), Mr. Hirani has been instrumental in exploring new business opportunities for the group. Having led the branding exercise for companies across the group, Mr. Hirani has tapped into his global perspective towards smoothening the operations for projects across the Hospitality, Entertainment, Education and Real estate sectors.
Over the past three years, Mr. Hirani has also been involved with branding, forging alliances and strategic tie ups that benefit the brand. Having lived in India, Dubai and England, Mr. Hirani utilises his problem solving and people skills to handle challenges on the ground level.
Identifying new business opportunities, Mr. Hirani expertly brings forth many new projects for The Arun Muchhala Group.
Mr. Ramdas Bawaskar
Principal of Muchhala Polytechnic College
Mr. Ramdas Bawskar holds Bachelors in Engineering from SGS Institute of Engineering and Technology located in Parbani. With an overall experience of 23 years in the teaching industry, Mr. Bawaskar holds the position of the Principal of Muchhala Polytechnic since December 2007.A firm believer in hard work, he attributes his success to the immense support from the students and teachers at the institute. Mr. Bawaskar has played a major role in pushing the boundaries by extending the batch size from 160 to 1100. Imparting quality education has been one of key objectives of Mr. Bawaskar. His advice to students is: “Education is very important for every human being. One should learn as much as he can, as soon as he can.” He loves reading books and spending time with his family when he is at home.
Mr. Sanjay Parikh
GM (CBS entertainment Pvt ltd) Entertainment - Chandan cinema - Gujarat
Mr. Sanjay Parikh has been associated with Arun Muchhala Group for the past 9 years. He is the General Manager of Chandan Cinemas in Gujarat – a proud part of the entertainment division of the Arun Muchhala Group. Mr. Parikh single-handedly manages the booking requests, programing, and administration of Chandan Cinemas. Some of his strengths include communication, establishing relationships with people and a clear understanding of customer’s expectations.
Mr. Bipin Jadhav
Principal of Arun Muchhala International College of Hotel Management
A postgraduate in Tourism Management and Diploma holder in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Mr. Bipin Jadhav has been associated with The Arun Muchhala Group for over 15 years. Mr. Jadhav started off as a lecturer in Arun Muchhala International College of Hotel Management in Thane, Mumbai. He was later promoted as the Head of the Department and is now the Principal of the college. He vows his success to the combined efforts of all the team members in the college. He has been instrumental in setting up the facilities the college boasts of. Being an optimist, Mr. Jadhav always looks at the bright side of things, even during testing times. His message to the students is “If you do not make the decision to change things the way they are now, you might regret it for the rest of your life”. Outside the college, Mr. Jadhav is kept busy by his two beautiful daughters. An avid reader, Mr. Jadhav is always looking out for inspiration from the books he reads.
Mr. Laxman Guracharya Katti
GM (Entertainment) Muchhala Magic Land Pvt. Ltd. and Suraj Water Park
Mr. Laxman Guracharya Katti hails from Dharwad district in Karnataka. With a rich educational background comprising of degrees in the field of arts, Mr. Katti brings his rich experience to the entertainment verticals of the group. He began his career as a Senior Assistant at The Mysore Kirloskar Ltd. During his eight years at the company, Mr. Katti worked in the export and personnel department. Post this, he joined the entertainment industry, specifically in film production. He expertly managed schedules of different artists, promotion and production. With his vast experience in this field, Mr. Katti joined Arun Muchhala Group’s entertainment division. His first project was Suraj Water Park, a landmark in the entertainment field, which went on to win many internationally acclaimed awards. Suraj Water Park has been featured in the Limca Book of Records for the sixth consecutive year. Having been associated with Arun Muchhala Group for over 18 years, Mr. Katti credits his success to the supportive management staff.
Mr. Ketan H Dhakan
Campus director – Arun Muchhala Engineering College
Holding the position of Campus Director at Arun Muchhala Engineering College, Mr. Ketan Dhakan has been associated with The Arun Muchhala Group for the past ten years. A banking professional, he is a graduate in commerce from Saurashtra University. Mr. Dhakan takes care of all administration - related activities in the Arun Muchhala Engineering College. Being in the administration department, Mr. Dhakan believes that providing the right atmosphere for the students is crucial for their education.
